APC West Africa Honours Engr. Abiodun Oyebola And Other Distinguished Personalities

The President of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation, NIDO, Sierra Leone Chapter, Engr. Abiodun Oyebola and other distinguished personalities have been honoured at the All Progressives Congress, APC, West Africa Diaspora awards and dinner night organised by Chapter of the APC in Accra Ghana.

The event aimed at celebrating the impact of the distinguished personalities in the West African sub-region who have made a lasting impact and contributed immensely and meaningfully to the growth of their communities, home, abroad and the APC Party as a whole.

The occasion also sought to raise funds to mobilize Nigerian electorates to travel back to Nigeria to exercise their franchise to vote for the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recieving the award, Engr. Abiodun Oyebola who is a 1989 graduate of the Lagos State University, entrepreneur and philanthropist, described the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a philanthropist and father for all who does not discriminate and a man of vision who will bring development to Nigeria.

He commended organisers of the event while applauding supporters and sympathizers of the APC for their role in making sure the Party will remain in power.

Engr. Abiodun Oyebola also pledged his commitment The West Africa Diaspora chapter of the APC in ensuring Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wins the upcoming election.

In his welcome address, the regional Chairman of the APC West Africa Diaspora, Chief David Alex-Duduyemi who doubles as the Presidential Campaign Council of the APC stated that the dinner and awards night was highly imperative for the accomplishment of the task ahead for the APC in the upcoming general election in Nigeria.

He noted that over five million Nigerians reside in other countries of the West Africa sub-region which are neighbors to Nigeria hence the need for them to access the electoral process in achieving its national goal.

Chief David Alex-Duduyemi reiterated that it is the responsibility of the group to encourage all Nigerian electorates to travel back to Nigeria to exercise their franchise adding that the group is committed to ensuring by mobilizing the electorates to vote for the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“In recognition of well-meaning Nigerians and well-wishers of Nigeria, we humbly need your overwhelming support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Shettima to secure the expected mandate of the electorates, we must mobilize Nigerians who are living in West Africa countries to travel to Nigeria come February 25th because Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the man of the people”. He added.

Chief David Alex-Duduyemi noted that the success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the success of the entire Nigeria and Africa as a whole and was optimistic that the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kasim Shettima shall emerge as the winners of the upcoming general election.

Presenting the citations to the awardees, the Regional Secretary of the APC West Africa Diaspora, Chief Bolanle Akintola, described the award winners as leaders who had distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor and their outstanding contributions to the development of the nation.

He expressed gratitude to the awardees for the pivotal role they played adding that it would spur the youth to contribute their quota towards the development of Nigeria.

Amongst the awardees were Alhaji Mohammed Braihma, Chief Alhaja Risikatu Odee Vanderpuije, Chief Imam Dr. Mustapha Akanji and Mr. Gideon Olatunde Igbasun. The rest were, Chief Alh. Abdul-Azeez Tunde Yahaya, HRH Alh. KIng Adebayo Yahaya Ola, Chief Dr. Jackie Kassim, Hon. Imam Hussain Gbadegesin and Engr. Abiodun Oyebola. Others included Alh. Ahmod Busari Morogun, Alhaji, Abdul Razzaq Khailann, Alhaji El-Azziz Fattau, Electoral Commission of Ghana, Hon. Baroness Tinuke Davies-Kensington, Mr. Laide Fowosere, Amb. Valentine Ogege, Mr. Adeshile Adedeji, and ACP Sheriff Abubakar Rabiu retired.
