The Executive Director of the Nigeria Business Forum, Amb. Oloye Fatuyi Oyeyemi, has applaud Nigerians for a successful election and for their love and commitment shown to the country before, during and after the general electoral exercise on February 25, 2023.
This according to him, Nigerians yearning for a better and peaceful country is evidence that with a leader of good character, Nigeria can be great again.
In a statement issued and signed in Accra dated March 1, 2023 by Amb. Oloye Fatuyi Oyeyemi said “my utmost gratitude goes to the ever resilient Nigeria youths, your peaceful conduct during and after the election is commendable, even though the politicians as usual in their trade disrupted this election in various ways, but you proved to them that no amount of intimidation and harassment can defeat you”. He said.
The statement further stated that the Presidential election has ended and while the leaders of all other parties are dealing with the legality and credibility of the election, it is imperative for Nigerians not to go to sleep as there is a Gubernatorial election ahead of us.
Amb. Oloye Fatuyi Oyeyemi noted that there is no hope for a nation without a leader with integrity and sincere heart adding that; Nigeria deserves the best at this time in their lives saying with them in charge of the grassroot, good governance is assured.
The statement further called on supporters of the Labour Party to go all out to vote for the Governorship candidates of the Labour Party in their respective states on March 11, 2023.
“For those that pride themselves in electoral fraud, they should remember that ” a man who goes and collects termite infested firewood from the forest must not complain when his or her bedroom is infested”. The statement bemoaned.
Amb. Oloye Fatuyi Oyeyemi stated that a party without structure as they refer to the Labour Party, it’s presidential candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi has shown to the world “that you can be anything you want in life within the validation of anyone.
Peter Obi not only won Lagos State, but he won 12 states including Abuja the seat of power with your support”. He noted.
The Executive Director of the Nigeria Business Forum urged the good people of Nigeria that the electoral battle is yet over entreating them to go all out and take over their respective states by voting for the candidates of the Labour Party in the upcoming Governorship elections.
“If you look around in your various state of origin or residence, you will realise the reasons for a change in leadership.
Many Nigerians in the diaspora are afraid to visit Nigeria or relocate to Nigeria with their acquired wealth both knowledge and cash for the fear of bad governance.
Your vote for Labour Party candidates in your respective states will not only give you peace, good governance that has eluded us for a very long time will return”. The statement herald.
It further reiterated that “to all our elders and parents, I want you to remember also that when the elders in a city become forgers of lies, the youths will become physicians without value, the worst situation for any city is a city without a future”. He reiterated.
Amb. Oloye Fatuyi Oyeyemi urged all the political parties to form an alliance with the Labour Party in various states for the sake of the masses, to help them be the winner.
He added that It shouldn’t be all about political aspiration and self-achievement but rather be about the suffering and oppressed Nigerians.
The statement concluded that “If you all come together and take over the States like Lagos and every state where the Labour Party wonderfully performed, the masses will be the winner in the end.
